Wake Electric awards grants to teachers to purchase new technology for their classrooms. Under the Classroom Technology Awards program, teachers can apply to receive funds for specific technology that will benefit students in the classroom. Funding of the Wake Electric Classroom Technology Awards is made possible through the contributions of Wake Electric member-consumers and the Wake Electric Operation Round-Up® Program.

Super Size It!
Rhesia Mitchell, kindergarten teacher, has won a Wake Electric Classroom Technology Award for a Toshiba XGA LCD Projector. She will use the technology throughout the curriculum. The Toshiba XGA LCD Projector will allow the children to simultaneously see demonstrations, objects, and books.
